About Me
Welcome — I’m Heather, a nature photographer based in Northern California, where golden light meets ancient oaks and wild rivers carve stories into the land.
Though I have explored everything from food and architecture to weddings and editorial work, my heart belongs to the natural world. I’m inspired by the quiet resilience of wildlife, the fleeting bloom of wildflowers, and the textures etched into desert stone. My photography is a celebration of these often-overlooked moments.
Through my images, I hope to spark curiosity and reverence for the landscapes and living beings we share this planet with. If a photo can make someone pause, wonder, or feel compelled to protect what they see — then I’ve done my job.
What You'll Find Here
This site is a collection of images and stories that celebrate nature in all its forms. From soaring hawks to elusive bobcats, from tiny tree frogs to sunbathing lizards, I photograph wildlife both large and small, feathered and furred, scaled and silent.
You’ll find scenes from windswept deserts and alpine meadows, misty forests and volcanic basins, coastal cliffs and golden savannahs. Each image is paired with field notes and reflections that reveal not just what I saw, but what I felt — the quiet thrill of discovery, the patience of observation, and the deep respect for the lives unfolding in front of my lens.
For more insights on each photo, I recommend checking out my blog, where I share everything from how-tos to location guides, wildlife profiles, trip reports, and thoughtful discussions on ethics, composition, lighting, and exposure. It’s a space for learning, exploring, and connecting through the lens of conservation.
Whether you're here to learn, be inspired, or simply wander through the beauty of the natural world, I’m glad you’ve found your way.
