I have been playing with double (and multiple) exposures lately and thought it would be fun to share a few. There are some exceptional double exposures out there on the internet and I acknowledge mine aren't even close to some that I have seen but now that I have played with existing images a bit, it has opened my eye to possibilities when shooting in the future.
These were all merged using Photoshop, using pretty basic layering techniques. Nothing fancy.
I hope you enjoy!
Deer and aspens
This one is pretty basic. It was the first one I tried.
Horse and forest
What does a horse and forest have to do with each other? Nothing really. I just liked how it looked, especially in black and white.
Impala and lionThe hunter and the prey in Tanzania
I thought it would be cool to merge a picture of a hunter with it's prey.
Autumn leaf and El CapitanYosemite National Park
These images are both from Yosemite when the fall leaves are adding a little color to the valley.
Lion and smoke
I have a lot of smoke photos laying around. Why not blend one with a lion???
Polar bear and glacier
I dream of going to going to see Polar Bears in the wild one day. This one seemed to fit well with this glacier from Alaska.
Solar eclipse in a jar
I took some pictures of our recent solar eclipse. I wasn't in the range of totality but it was still neat to see so I crammed it in a jar.
Elephant taking a mud bathTanzania
This is actually multiple exposures (you probably already guessed). This young elephant was giving himself a mud bath so I took a series of photos later merged them to create a panoramic sequence.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed!!!
