Ocotillo Wells
This is Ocotillo Wells SVRA area, near San Diego in southern California. I travelled here looking for wildflowers and the elusive Pumpkin Patch and decided to stay for the night to photograph these interesting mounds, which is what I imagine Mars to look like if I were able to drop in and grab a few photos. This area, and the mounds, are used by off road enthusiasts but also make for great foreground subjects, especially when the night sky supplies great cloud cover. This was shot at 2500 ISO for 30 seconds, just long enough to capture a little movement in the clouds.
