Mount Hood reflected in Trillium Lake
Mount Hood is the highest peak in Oregon at 11,239 feet. It is a dormant volcano that last erupted in 1865. Twelve glaciers and snowfields cover approximately 80 percent of Mount Hood’s cone above the 6,890-foot level. It is reflected here in Trillium Lake which is part of the Mount Hood National Forest, a popular tourist and recreation area that extends along the Cascade Range from the Columbia River.
