The cabins On a recent trip to Valley Of Fire State Park in Nevada, I photographed these cabins just after dark. They are located close to the eastern entrance of the park. The historic cabins were built with sandstone from Valley Of Fire by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s for to provide shelter for park visitors. Today, the site it is used as a picnic area and for wedding ceremonies. This final photograph is a merge of three different images because I had to use my flashlights to light each cabin up separately. There are signs in the park that state if you are in these areas after sunset, you are trespassing, but I suspect that is to deter camping, setting bonfires, or other elicit activities! This was a great time to see them and as a bonus, the bats were just starting to come out to hunt for insects!
