Lake Manly Panorama
Lake Manly, Death Valley National Park
In years with a good amount of rain, the area known as Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park will temporarily transform into Lake Manly. The lake measured 6 miles long, 3 miles wide, and 1 foot deep when it reached it's fullest in March 2024. As I was photographing this sunset, a father was trying to keep his son from wondering too far and I heard him say, "There is a steep drop off just passed where you are standing, so you need to come back." I couldn't help but laugh a little!
