Pigeon Point Lighthouse on the California coast, seen with a moon setting close enough to sunset that you can still see the evidence of the sun below the horizon. It can be challenging to capture stars on the coast due to fog and low clouds, particularly from April through September, but they can also add a sense of depth and visual interest. On this evening, I decided to roll with it, and I don't regret hanging around after dark to catch this view! |
